Jesus Christ, the Resurrected:

This means that out of love and omnipotence God brings death to an end, calls a new creation to life, bestows new life. “Everything old has passed away.” (2 Corinthians 5:17) “See I making all things new.” (Revelation 5:25) Resurrection has already commenced in the midst of the old world as a final  sign of its end and of its future, and simultaneously as a living reality. Jesus was resurrected as a human being, and thus did he grant resurrection to human beings. And thus also do human beings remain human beings even though, being new and resurrected, they in no way resemble the old human beings.
